Hi,

This is a simple NM experiment I've been meaning to do for ages :)

Brief:

I always thought the 'Drumsound Synthesiser' module sounded a lot more
*solid* than my NM Drum synths.

So I have attempted to recreate it using standard modules.

Method:

Pretty obvious if you look at the file, I have renamed the modules to mimic
the 'Drumsound Synthesiser' module.

C4 triggers the original sound, D4 triggers my copy.

I have mapped the knobs to mimic the layout of the Drumsound Synth module.

Results:

I have done OK in re-creating the sound I think. There is something about
the punchiness of the raw OSCs, which I have tried to recreate with an added
Compressor, which isn't quite right, and I couldn't get the click right at
all, i tried white noise for the click, but ended up with a pulse.

Conclusion:

I knew my version would be more expensive in DSP, it wasnt my aim to make it
cheaper! My version costs 42.7%, the Clavia module costs 12%!

What I would really like to achieve is the consistency of the Clavia click
and raw Osc's. The Clavia sound is very consistent, mine has little
variations. Obviously any optimisation tips would be welcome too! I'm sure
there are plenty.

Cheers

Steve
